Feel Good Friday

Our very dysfunctional Labrador, Sasha, making herself comfy on the couch. Believing that nobody can actually see her.  A dogs life.  She lives happily with a highly strung Border Collie and a very temperamental cat named Oreo.  She spends most of her days waiting for somebody to feed her. Anything will do. She also lives by the value system that any attention is far better than none.

I could'nt imagine my life without her.  We used have a blonde lab named, Max.  He died and I still cry whenever I see a lookalike.  But, Sasha, who has eaten all my underwear, some of my favourite shoes and couch cushions has crept deep into my heart.  One of my favourite things is sitting and working while she snores and sleeps, cosy on my feet. Right now, while I'm writing this blog she is dead to the world.  So I dedicate this friday's blog to Sasha.  The only dog that likes Bunting !!!! xxxxx Happy Bunting, Linelle

Out with the new, In with the old

I absolutely love this pic. Two of my favourite things Bunting and old suitcases.  I found the most beautiful old leather suitcase on the side of the road the other day. It is a treasured item and has been added to my collection.  The revival of a love for all things old is really wonderful. I often wonder what is the story behind every treasure, who used it, what for, what did they look like.  I don't let these items stand behind glass doors, but use them, vintage tea cups, napkins and other vintage finds should become a part of everyday life.  And then of course bunting.  Throw away the remote controls and get back to some some basic old fashioned things.  Read a book, play a board game, walk the dogs, make some ginger beer or bake bread from scratch.  This is good old fashioned therapy. The Love Madness

Aaah the day of love.  I might seem a little cynical but I am so glad that a life long commitment to loving another person doesn't depend on this one day only.  The magnitude of cards,flowers and all things lovey dovey that was passed out today makes me wonder why there are still so many people in this world dying because of Hate.

Serious I might be, but I have realised that Love is everlasting, dependable not judgemental. Martin Luther King Jr spells out my Valentines Day message with passion he said: "I have decided to stick to love. Hate is too great a burden to bear". Feel Good Friday

Haven't had a chance to blog, things have been wonderfully busy. Want to share this lovely bedroom with you. Cosy, happy and colourful.  All the things I like to look at. Now just to take my shoes off and sink into it. Oh Bliss. Truth is not happening.  We are so excited by the wonderful response to our Bunting. Today, a customer ordered 10 meters for a baby shower. When she uploaded her pics of the bunting I sent her she replied: "I love,love,love it. I just did a little dance at my desk.". That makes us really feel good about the time and effort we put into every flag of bunting. Happy Bunting - Linelle xx

And so a busy day comes to an end ...

Today has just been unbelievable.  Photo shoots, uploads a new blog.  Wow, so ready to put my feet up.  The really good thing about rituals are that they have a way of relaxing you.  That is why a cup of tea in a vintage cup at the end of the day, really seals the deal.  A moment to reflect, gather your thoughts, check yourself and know that tomorrow brings new challenges. And, of course, 40 meters of Bunting to make for a wedding.
